# AI Wallet

## AI Wallet & AI Credits

The **AI Wallet** is where your AI Credits live. Whenever you use an AI feature — like an AI Chatbot, AI Reply, or data extraction — credits are used from your wallet.

This article explains what AI Credits are, how they're used, and how to keep your wallet topped up.

### What are AI Credits?

AI Credits are what power all of Gallabox's AI features. They're used based on how much text the AI processes — so a short reply uses fewer credits than a long one, and different AI models use credits at different rates.

Each AI response uses credits for:

* **Input** — the text sent to the AI (your message, chat history, and context)
* **Output** — the response the AI generates

Because usage is based on text length and the model used, the exact cost of each response can vary. Longer conversations and more advanced models use more credits.

### Your credit balance

Your AI Wallet balance is made up of three types of credits, used automatically in this order:

| Used first | Credit type              | Where it comes from                                          |

| 1          | **Free credits**         | Free trial credits and any allowance included with your plan |
| 2          | **Subscription credits** | Your monthly AI Credits add-on                               |
| 3          | **Top-up credits**       | One-time credit purchases                                    |

Free credits are always used first, followed by subscription credits, and finally top-up credits.

#### Do credits expire?

* **Free** and **Subscription** credits **reset every month** — any unused amount does not carry over to the next month.
* **Top-up** credits **do not reset** — they stay in your wallet until you use them.

### How to get more credits

#### Free trial credits

New accounts start with **500 free AI Credits** so you can try out AI features right away. Depending on your plan, you may also receive a monthly allowance of free credits.

#### AI Credits add-on

The AI Credits add-on is a monthly subscription that automatically refills your wallet at the start of each billing cycle.

You can add or remove the add-on at any time. If you subscribe partway through the month, the credits are adjusted for the number of days remaining in that month.

#### One-time top-ups

Need extra credits without changing your subscription? Buy a top-up. Top-up credits don't reset each month, so they're always there when you need them.

### Low balance & running out of credits

#### Low-balance alerts

When your balance drops to a set threshold (**200 credits by default**), Admins and Owners get an email so there's time to top up. You can change this threshold anytime in your AI Wallet settings.

#### If you run out of credits

When your balance reaches **0**:

* Admins and Owners receive an email letting you know the wallet is empty.
* **AI features stop responding** until you add more credits.
* Any AI Chatbot conversations that need attention are handed off so your team can continue them manually.

Everything resumes automatically as soon as you top up your credits.

### Managing your AI Wallet

Admins and Owners can open the **AI Wallet** dashboard to:

* Check your current balance
* View a history of credits added and used
* Buy the AI Credits add-on or one-time top-ups
* Set your low-balance alert threshold

**Do unused credits roll over to next month?**

Free and subscription credits reset each month. Top-up credits carry over and don't expire monthly.

**Which credits are used first?**

**Why did two similar messages use different amounts of credits?**

Credit usage depends on the length of the conversation and the AI model used, so even similar messages can vary.
