# Limited Time Offer

> Create a Limited Time Offer WhatsApp template in Gallabox: a short offer line, an optional countdown, and a copyable code.

> **Who can use this?**
>
> * Owners, Admins, and roles with WhatsApp Templates access.
> * A connected WhatsApp channel is required.

Use **Limited Time Offer** when the clock is the point: a weekend flash sale, a code that dies at midnight, a launch-day coupon.

Use [Custom marketing](/whatsapp/templates/custom-marketing) if the discount does not expire.

You set the real expiry and the real code when you send, not when you create the template.

  Customers on WhatsApp Web or the desktop app do not see the offer card. They get a notice that the limited-time offer is not supported. Send this when most of your audience reads WhatsApp on a phone.

## Plan Availability

Available on all Gallabox plans. Billed as a Marketing template on every send. See [Message Credits](/pricing-and-billing/message-credits).

## Create the template

Go to **WhatsApp → Templates**, click **Create New Template**, and pick **Limited Time Offer**. Name it, pick the **Channel** and **Language**, then fill the header, offer card, and buttons. Click **Submit for approval**.

**Message header** is **None**, **Image**, or **Video**. Text, document, and location are not available on this type.

### Offer card

In the **Limited Time Offer** card, fill **Header**. Maximum 16 characters. Example: `Expiring offer!`. This is the offer line on the customer's phone, not the message header above.

Turn **Expiration Date** on if the customer should see a countdown. Leave it off if you only want the copy-code button.

There is no footer. Meta does not allow one on this type, so Gallabox hides it.

### Buttons

* A **URL** button is always required. Set the button text and the link.
* If **Expiration Date** is on, **Copy Code** is required and you cannot turn it off.
* If **Expiration Date** is off, you can still add **Copy Code**. It stays the first button.
* The copy-code label is **Copy offer code**. You cannot change it.
* **Enter Code** is the sample Meta reviews. Maximum 15 characters. Example: `WELCOME20`. Fill the live code when you send.

Turn on **Track link clicks** if you want URL tap counts in broadcast analytics and message trackers.

## Send it

After **Approved**, send it from a broadcast, a sequence, the inbox, or a bot. See [After approval](/whatsapp/templates/manage-templates#after-approval).

When you send, Gallabox asks for:

1. Values for any variables in the body.
2. The real offer code, if the template has Copy Code.
3. The **Expiration Date**, if you enabled it. You can pick today or a later day. If you pick today, the time must be at least 15 minutes from now.

The countdown the customer sees is this send-time date, not a date you typed in the body.

If the offer has less than an hour left when they open the chat, WhatsApp turns the timer red.

## FAQs

    No. This type cannot have a footer. Put opt-out wording in the body if you need it. Use Custom marketing for recurring campaigns that need the STOP footer.

  <Accordion title="The offer looks fine in Gallabox preview but a teammate on WhatsApp Web cannot see it.">
    That is expected. The offer card is for the phone app. Preview in Gallabox is not the same as WhatsApp Web.

  <Accordion title="Do I put the expiry in the message body?">
    You can mention it in the copy. The countdown only appears if **Expiration Date** is on, and only from the date you pick at send time.
