# Two Factor Authentication

Gallabox has introduced a nifty feature that adds an extra layer of security to your Account. It is a cool way to make sure that only the right folks get access to your Gallabox account. Let's dive into how you can use it and why it's a good idea.

### **Two-Step Verification: Adding a Dash of Security**&#x20;

Enabling 2FA is like having a secret code (a six-digit PIN, to be precise) that you create. Now, whenever someone tries signing on Gallabox Account, they need not only the password but also this special PIN.&#x20;

### **Enabling the Two Factor Authentication**

To enable the Two-factor Authentication for your Account:

1. When you login to your account, you will be asked to Enable the **two-factor authentication**. The other way is to go to Profile from your Gallabox Dashboard and click on "**Enable two-factor authentication**". &#x20;
2. A pop-up will appear, asking you the OTP that will be shared on your registered email address.&#x20;

3. Enter your Password and click on Enable button, a OTP will be sent to your registered email id.

4. Once you enter the OTP and click on Verify button, the two-factor authentication will be enabled for your account. Now, whenever you will login to the Gallabox Account, you will be asked to verify the account using two-factor authentication.&#x20;

### **Disable the Two Factor Authentication**

1. If you would like to disable the two factor Authentication, you can do it by going to your Profile and clicking on Disable two-factor Authentication button. You have to re-enter your password and click on Disable button.

2. Once disabled, you will get the notification.&#x20;
