Preparation for Meta Business Verification

To enhance the chances of your company's verification by Meta, ensure the following:

• The company's website is active, has SSL, and is complete with the company's name, address, and phone number matching Business Manager information.

• The account email aligns with the company's website domain (if going for Domain Verification).

• For phone number verification, ensure you can receive calls. If your number has IVR applied, temporarily disable.

• The company's trade name in documentation matches that on the website and Facebook page, or they are related.

Upon submission, of the documentation, you'll receive email updates on the registered email address for verification progress.

Business Manager Verification Process

1. Access Business Manager Security Center and initiate verification.

2. Choose your business (listed or not listed) and confirm details.

3. Verify the legal business name by providing official documentation.

4. Confirm business address or phone number with relevant documents.

META will review the request within 7 business days.

When your business is verified you will be notified and you will also see the verified status in your account.

Documents Required for Business Verification

Because of the differences between legal documents between countries, Facebook has provided a list of the specific documents that need to be sent according to each country. Please see for India and other countries below.

India

• Business bank statement

• Business license

• Certificate of incorporation

• Goods and services tax registration certificate(GST)

• Permanent Account Number Card (PAN)

• Shop establishment certificate

• Udyog Aadhar (UID)

• Utility bill

Other Countries

• Utility bill like a phone or electricity bill

• Bank statement

• Business licenses and permits from any level of government

• Certificate of formation or incorporation

• Business Tax or VAT registration certificate

• EIN confirmation letter from the IRS (U.S. only)

• Federal tax returns to the IRS by company (U.S. only)

• Business bank account statements

• Business credit report from one of the reporting agencies

Documents not accepted:

• Invoices

• Purchase Orders

• Self-filled applications for the company

• Tax returns filed by you or your company

• Website print

• Other documents like company flyers, letterhead, etc.

Verification Button Is Unavailable:

Ineligible Business Managers can enable verification by completing Business Info on Facebook and creating a WhatsApp Business API account with Gallabox.

Business Verification Rejection: Next Steps

If your verification is rejected, visit Facebook Business Manager → Security Center → Contact Facebook for more details.

Interact with Facebook Support using your ticket/case number, and contact our support team if further assistance is needed.

Business verification is distinct from the verified badge (green check or Official Business Account), offering different benefits.

Display Name

Earlier, only verified badge holders could have their approved display name appear for their business. From 2024, the business Display Name will be visible for all accounts that have passed business verification, regardless of whether they have a badge.
