# Tags

Tags play a crucial role in helping you categorize and organize your contacts and conversations, making it easier to locate and manage specific information efficiently. Tags can be created, edited, and assigned to contacts or conversations by authorized users or admins, streamlining your data management process.

To create a tag:

1. Go to Tags under settings and click on +Add Tag.&#x20;

2. You need to specify the **Name** for the tag. The name should be descriptive and relevant to the type of contacts or messages you intend to associate with this tag. For example, if you want to create a tag for customers interested in a specific plan, you can name it "Plan A Enthusiasts."
