Connect your WhatsApp

Learn about Business Service Providers (BSPs) facilitating communication between WhatsApp Business Accounts and customer management platforms. Migrate or Connect your WhatsApp Number with Gallabox.

This article explores Business Service Providers (BSPs), key intermediaries enabling effective communication between WhatsApp Business Accounts and customer management platforms.

What is a BSP?

In the context of WhatsApp Business API, a BSP (Business Service Provider) acts as an intermediary between your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) and the platform (like Gallabox) you use to manage your communication with customers.

Think of a BSP like a translator. It lets your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) talk to the platform (like Gallabox) you use to manage your customers. This platform lets you send messages, manage contacts, and see how your communication is doing.

Without a BSP, WABA can't talk to these platforms. The BSP also makes sure you follow WhatsApp's rules and helps you get WABA access. BSPs even offer extra features, like automatic replies, chatbots, shared inbox and integrations with other business tools.

Examples of BSPs:

Several companies offer BSP services for WhatsApp Business API. Here are two examples:

Migration from Other BSPs

If you're already using a different BSP for your WhatsApp Business Account, migrating to Gallabox might involve some additional steps. These steps will vary depending on the specific BSP you're currently using.

The migration process involves 3 main assets:

A source WABAA phone numberA destination WABA

The account the phone number is currently registered to.

The number that will be migrated.

Your Gallabox Account

Number migration will be initiated by us (Gallabox Team).

Step 1: Disable Two-Step Authentication

Before you can initiate the migration process, it is essential to disable two-step verification for the associated phone number.

Disable 2FA directly from WhatsApp Business Manager > Phone Numbers > Configurations > Two-step confirmation: There will be an option to disable. If you see the option to Enable, it means you haven't enabled the Two-Step Authentication for your WhatsApp Number.

Step 2: Inform your Product Specialist

Inform the Product Specialist connected with you and fill the migration form and follow the process. If you have any doubt within the form, feel free to reach out to your Product Specialist.

Step 3: Re-Enable Two-Step Authentication

After migrating to Gallabox, enable two-step authentication again in order to keep your account secure and retain OBA status.

Enable 2FA from WhatsApp Business Manager > Phone Numbers > Configurations > Two-step confirmation: There will be an option to enable.

Migrating from WhatsApp Business API to WhatsApp Business/ Personal

Before proceeding with the deletion of a phone number from WhatsApp Business API, please ensure the following criteria are met:

  2. A phone number cannot be removed from WhatsApp Business API if the associated business has sent more than 1000 messages using that number within the last 30 days.

To request the deletion of a phone number, kindly raise a ticket by sending an email to support@gallabox.com with the subject line "Request for Deletion of Phone Number <phone>."

Please use your registered email address with Gallabox for this communication.

Here's what you can expect during the phone number deletion process:

  1. Our dedicated team will review your request and check for any pending dues. They will provide you with clear instructions on how to settle any outstanding payments.

  2. To prevent any new messages from going through, our team will temporarily pause all incoming and outgoing messages associated with the phone number.

  3. You will be informed of a specific date when the deletion process is scheduled to take place.

  4. On the designated date, our team will initiate a deletion request with Meta (the parent company of WhatsApp) and keep you updated on the progress.

  5. Once a phone number has been successfully deleted from the WhatsApp Business platform, you have the option to reuse it in the WhatsApp Consumer app or re-register it on the WhatsApp Business platform.

Different rules apply to deleted numbers that were previously banned by the WhatsApp Business Platform.
